Autographs, baseball cards and charity.

That’s at the heart of the Detroit Tigers Foundation’s Autographs For a Cause program, which has raised over $200,000 for local and national charities since 2011.

Topps created custom limited edition baseball cards for each this player, of which approximately 200 will be signed as part of the program. The cards feature the player and Detroit Tigers Foundation logo on the front. The back of the card includes player stats, like traditional cards and is numbered as part of the Autographs For A Cause Team set.

Each player will match the amount raised for their autographs.

Tigers left-handed pitcher Matt Boyd wants fans to Remember Nhu. He’s matching donations this year for a non-profit called Remember Nhu, which is committed to ending child sex slavery through prevention. Remember Nhu has 75 children’s homes in 13 countries and has prevented over 1,700 children from being sold.

Boyd said his wife, Ashley, has volunteered with the organization since college.

“A person will sponsor a child and these homes have everything,” Boyd said. “They give them three meals a day, a bed, an education.

Boyd said he and his wife sponsor a few children and visited one of the homes in Chaing Mai, Thailand in 2015.
